Year 9 and Year 11 Photography and Digital Media students together with Year 9 Visual Arts students attended an excursion to Cockatoo Island, where they photographed the site in preparation for their next units of work. A wonderful excursion that provided our students with an opportunity to research ideas for their practical works as practising photographers and artists prior to producing their works. @Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

Congratulations goes to Sara M and Fatimah A whose artwork was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Penrith Regional Gallery Youth Art Prize - Echoing Nature. This prize aims to recognise, encourage and celebrate the creative talent of young artists in our local community. Further congratulations goes to Elise B, Madison J, Anna Z, Scarlett S, Georgina M, Hannah Y, Makayla T and Gia A whose work has also been included in a visual display. Congratulations to our Intermediate netball team who secured a win in our first match of the season against St Columba’s 21/17. It was a great effort considering 6 of our original team were out due to injury and trialing for the CCC Representative netball team. A big thank you to Mia, Ruby S and Ruby P for filling in. We are extremely proud of all of you and the way you pulled together to get the win. A HUGE congratulations to Ella G and Aleighya P who were successful in making the CCC Netball team. We’re incredibly proud of a dedicated group of students who have been working hard behind the scenes to complete a microcredential as part of our Ready Set Work (RSW) program. Through regular lunchtime sessions delivered by our Partnerships & Pathways Coaches, and using the resources of partner organisation Study Work Grow, these students have developed key transferable skills to prepare them for real-world job applications. They’ve just completed their final module, which involved one of the most challenging steps in any job process – the interview! Stepping bravely out of their comfort zones, they participated in mock interviews and received valuable feedback to refine their skills and build confidence. But they didn’t do it alone! A massive thank you to our incredible Year 12 mentors, who volunteered their time to guide and support their peers. Their leadership, encouragement and advice made a real difference and reflected the wonderful spirit of community within our school. Congratulations to all our Ready Set Work students for their commitment and to our mentors for their inspiring support. We can’t wait for the upcoming Ready Set Work graduation and to see what’s next in these students' early careers! Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

CONGRATULATIONS to Amy Jarukrut of Year 12 who received the Rotary Youth Service Award, which was presented to her by Rotary Club of Nepean President, Kerry Haviland, on the evening of 28 May. Amy is a worthy recipient of this acknowledgement of her service to others and her deep regard for her community. Humble, yet confident and resilient, Amy has demonstrated leadership qualities that will serve her well in her chosen career path with the Australian Defence Forces. Our future marketing pros have been treated to an unforgettable Lunch and Learn mentoring experience, thanks to two of the College's incredible alumnae, Taryn Blackhurst and Ammaleah Astruc! We were thrilled to welcome back Taryn, Marketing Manager, Brand & Content at News Corp Australia — where she leads campaigns for household names like The Australian, Vogue and GQ magazines — and Ammaleah, a former College Captain, who's exciting pathway in the industry has featured roles at KFC Australia and now advertising and marketing agency, Ogilvy. Taryn and Ammaleah generously shared their career journeys, insights into successful campaigns, tips on networking and the importance of post-school qualifications. Their engaging stories and examples gave our students invaluable inspiration as they prepare to launch their own careers. We were thrilled to welcome Annie Harrison, Head of Direct Lending at Ubank — Australia’s first homegrown digital bank — to our Year 11 Work Studies class today. Annie delivered an engaging and insightful session, sharing her deep expertise on: investment and lending, the power of financial planning and goal setting, how to avoid scams and practical tips to boost financial literacy. Annie's insights perfectly complemented their Personal Finance unit and couldn’t have come at a better time. Her real-world insights brought the curriculum to life and gave students valuable tools for managing their money in the workplace and beyond. Good Friday Walk an Amazing Feat of Faith

More than 1,400 Catholic students and young people from Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains came together in faith to participate in the annual Good Friday walk, a 21-kilometre pilgrimage from Blacktown to Parramatta.
