Today, our College Captain, Ava, alongside Vice Captains, Tahlya, Nekea, and Scarlett, had the incredible opportunity to attend the International Women’s Day Breakfast at St Columba’s Catholic College. Our Captains are exceptional ambassadors and role models, leading with humility and compassion. This inspiring event focused on empowerment, equality and celebrating the vital role women play in their school and wider community. We were honoured to be invited to this wonderful St Columba's community event by College Principal Mr Phillip Scollard. This week our Year 10 Leaders have also attended an IWD-inspired seminar with Crazy Ideas College and IBM plus the whole school community engaged in Wellbeing lessons promoting inclusivity, communication and connections to ‘Accelerate Action’ for gender equality. As an all-girls school, we are proud to champion the aspirations of our students. Our Principal Leader, Mrs Tania Cairns, has been a strong advocate for encouraging young women to strive for their best and celebrate women's leadership. At Caroline Chisholm College, our culture is one that recognises the value of women for women - always here for each other and better together. 2025 Cross Country Today the College held its annual Cross Country event. Well done to all the students who participated and congratulations to the following students who placed in the top 3 for their age group and will be competing with other school representatives in the PDSSSC Cross Country. We wish them the best of luck. A big shoutout to the students who rolled up their sleeves, put on some gloves and made a difference during Clean Up Australia Day! Their enthusiasm and dedication in picking up rubbish around the school at lunchtime helped our school environment. Meeting on the back oval today, they worked together to show their commitment to a greener, healthier planet. Thank you to all the student volunteers for their hard work and inspiring efforts! Our Sistas Yarning Circle kicked off for 2025 with an activity using native plants and red ochre to dye silk scarves. The process will take 6 weeks so we look forward to seeing the finished results at the end of the term. The Sistas Yarning Circle is a program run by Jarara Cultural Centre for First Nations students to connect with and learn more about their culture. Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese

9 Gilmore had a great day selling over 500 Zooper Dooper ice blocks to raise funds for Caritas Australia. They did a great job of providing for the community on an especially hot day, and showed amazing community spirit by working together to market and sell their ice blocks.

Students and Families from Years 10-12 are invited to our UAC Student and Parent Information Webinar this coming Tuesday 11 March (from 5:30pm – 6:30pm). This informative and timely presentation, which will be hosted by Trudy Noller, Manager of Community Engagement at UAC, is ideal for students and their families in Years 10, 11 and 12. The webinar will cover areas and provide information about the role of UAC, the applications process for undergraduate courses, the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), Educational Access Schemes (EAS), Equity Scholarships and UAC's Early Entry program, the Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS). Empowering Future Leaders With young women like these incredible Year 10 leaders, our future is in very capable hands! As part of our College’s International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations this week, these thoughtful, passionate and determined students represented our school at Crazy Ideas College (CIC)’s International Women’s Day Workshop - an exclusive event held at IBM’s Sydney CBD headquarters. This inspiring gathering brought together young women from local secondary schools to develop leadership skills, explore future career pathways and connect with influential female leaders from this leading global organisation. Through CIC’s Lead4Impact (L4i) model, students gained valuable tools and mindsets for leadership, empowering them to shape their futures and drive positive change in their schools and communities. This unique experience expanded their networks, built confidence and provided first-hand inspiration from industry role models in a dynamic, real-world setting. A heartfelt thank you to Crazy Ideas College (CIC) and IBM SkillsBuild for this incredible opportunity. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Zoe Burrows, Charlie Kidd and the team at CIC for providing this opportunity, and the executive team at IBM for generously sharing your career and leadership insights with our students.
